It's been in the back of our minds all throughout the holiday season; the new year. And now it's finally here. When all is said and done, does it really matter? No, not unless you've made resolutions. I made a resolution and my resolution is this blog. I've been meaning to do it for a while.
Today January 1st is the last day of my beautiful holiday block leave. Needless to say I didn't get to do everything that I wanted. Simply didn't get the chance. On a positive note my knees are doing better (stress fractures) and I am mentally determined to complete AIT (army job training). I spent most of the holiday with my daughter and mom. Being with my daughter for even such a short time has truly been a blessing.
I've also discovered through several shopping trips that both TJ Maxx and HomeGoods are excellent stores. Now before you go getting all confused; I wouldn't recommend TJ Maxx in the clothing arena. However, TJ Maxx has good picks for the home and small gifts. HomeGoods especially has some nice stuff for the kitchen and living room. They have rare vases in many colors and their stuff in general isn't cheap looking at all. While I was there I bought some cute "love" inspired china. It's colorful and since it wasn't something I truly needed I only got a set of two. Me and my mother have had fun decorating the home. I also bought a book on decoration and interior design. Even though I haven't ever looked into this area of design...I feel curious.
Just some of the pieces...I fell in love with them instantly. It's something fresh.
